This week is jam-packed with a wide selection of albums, featuring releases from legends like Tech N9ne, Atmosphere, James Blake, and more. We also have one more Aaliyah rerelease.

New Music Friday is back, once again. And there are more than a dozen new albums that should be on your radar.

We’re going to start with The Alchemist’s new EP, This Things of Ours 2, which features appearances from Mavi, Vince Staples, Mike and more. Within the underground rap world, we also got new releases from Guilty Simpson, Curren$y, Dreamville’s Lute, Detroit spitter BandGang Lonnie Bands, underground legend Atmosphere, and more.

Outside of rap, James Blake returns with his particular style of blues on his fifth studio album Friends That Break Your Heart. Blackground records adds Aaliyah’s posthumous compilation album, I Care 4 U, to DSPs; and Toronto group BadBadNotGood released their sixth studio album

But that’s only the start. There are also new releases from Tech N9ne, Don Toliver, Sleepy Hollow, and more.
