The new single is the latest release from the Atlanta artist’s partnership with Issa Rae’s label Raedio.

Yung Baby Tate has officially released the music video for her new single “Rainbow Cadillac.” The track is a look into what Tate has been working on this year as she’s been quarantined in Atlanta.

“Rainbow Cadillac” is all about self-confidence and it’s a feel-good song. The visual directed by HeatwaveGlobal x Jake Hale sets the stage for a new chapter of Tate’s artistry. In it, she’s surrounded by a stunning girl gang. A few dance numbers in the clip also point out that she’s here to stake her claim as a superior entertainer yet again after releasing her album GIRLS in 2019.

The nostalgia of Danity Kane’s hit single which the song samples will indefinitely find a place in today’s market. It’s become pretty common over the past year or so for artists to flip samples of popular R&B and rap songs of the past. Examples include “Tap In,” by Saweetie, “W.A.P.” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. Produced by MikeWavvs, Jack Lamastro and Wallis Lane, “Rainbow Cadillac” is the first time Tate has worked with songwriters and producers. It’s also the latest release to come from her ongoing partnership with Issa Rae’s Raedio label.

When speaking on her new single and upcoming music that’s on the horizon she shares, “I want people to feel good about themselves. This year has been pretty rough for a lot of us and, at times, it can be very bleak.” “At the end of every storm, the rainbow comes back out, and this project is me becoming that musical rainbow again to remind people it’s gonna be alright.”

She also opened up about Rae’s thoughts on the project that’s on the horizon. “Her team is super excited about this project and to finally put something out. God is working real hard, and I’m honored to be guided by Issa.”
