Wu-Tang Clan’s biographical series returns to Hulu for a second season on September 8th.

Less than a month out from an exhaustively-awaited premiere date, Hulu has unveiled the official trailer for the second season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga.

Where the introductory season focused on the group’s formation, the follow-through zooms in on the creation of Wu-Tang Clan’s classic debut, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers.) The first trailer for the sophomore season offers a glimpse of at least one new face in the cast. Namely, that of Uyoata Udi (of Watchmen and This Is Us,) who replaced Joey Badass as the show’s new Inspectah Deck in the downtime between seasons. It’s unclear why Badass parted ways with the series, but the show has retained its other real-life rapper in Dave East, who is reprising his role as Method Man in the new season. The series has also added The Wire‘s Gbenga Akinnagbe as the group’s first manager, John “Mook” Gibbons, and Curtiss Cook Jr. as Mathematics, the producer and designer behind Wu-Tang’s iconic logo.

“The Clan is disillusioned with life in the projects, and Bobby knows that success in the music industry could be their ticket to better lives. But getting the Clan members to drop everything for music isn’t easy,” reads an official synopsis of the new season from Hulu. “The resentment between Dennis, Sha, Power and Divine still runs deep, while the other Clan members struggle dealing with intercity life. This time around, Bobby is dedicated to authenticity and though he knows he can lead his crew through the challenges of the music business, the Clan’s fractures may prove too much to overcome,” the summary adds.

Season two is set to premiere on September 8th with a trio of new episodes. Subsequent installments will be released every following Wednesday.
