Immersive Meta VR Concert “The Notorious B.I.G. Sky’s The Limit: A VR Concert Experience” will stream exclusively on December 16.

The legacy of Biggie Smalls lives on in upcoming Meta concert “The Notorious B.I.G. Sky’s The Limit: A VR Concert Experience,” which will stream on December 16. Teased back in May on what would have been his 50th birthday, Sky’s the Limit is produced in conjunction with Biggie’s estate and will feature a “hyper-realistic” avatar version of the late rapper along with an avatar of Bad Boy Records owner, Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Biggie’s avatar will perform classics and unreleased material through a virtual recreation of ’90s Brooklyn (The Brook), while American writer and music journalist Touré will provide “narrative journey” through a day in the rapper’s life. The VR concert will also include guest performances by The Lox, Latto, Nardo Wick, Biggie’s cousin and longtime collaborator Lil’ Cease, and a special set from DJ Clark Kent.

Voletta Wallace, Christopher Wallace’s mother, stated, “Having the ability to create a variance of new opportunity to showcase my son Christopher’s music through the advancement of technology is hard for me to grasp at times, however, I’ve found so much excitement in the process of developing his avatar, understanding the value added for fans to experience him in ways unattainable till now. Thank you to all who have contributed to bringing this project to fruition.”

“It’s amazing to create new content for BIG. The world was robbed of an opportunity to watch Biggie grow and evolve as an artist,” added Biggie’s manager Mark Pitts. The wonder of Web3 is that it gives us an opportunity to celebrate his music with visuals that Biggie never got to make.”

For those who don’t own a Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro VR headset, the “Sky’s the Limit” experience will also be available on The Notorious B.I.G.’s official Facebook page.
