Taxstone is currently serving a 35-year prison sentence for manslaughter for shooting up Irving Plaza in New York City in 2016.

The incident resulted in the death of Troy Ave’s bodyguard, Ronald Banga McPhatter.

This week, he was charged with attempting to smuggle various items of contraband into the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, 

The feds allege that Tax and five other inmates developed a system where they would toss a rope outside the prison wall and have co-conspirators on the street attach marijuana, suboxone strips (a prohibited medication used to treat opioid addiction), a scalpel, cigarettes, lighters, and cell phone chargers to the rope.

He faces an additional ten years if convicted.

This made DJ Akademiks very happy.
