The expanded deluxe version of The Roots’ 1995 major label debut features more than a dozen unreleased remixes, edits, and outtakes.

Following months of teasing and a COVID-related delay, The Roots have finally released the deluxe edition of Do You Want More?!!!??!.

Originally slated for release in 2020, the expanded edition of the group’s 1995 major label debut (and second album proper) celebrates the album’s 25th-anniversary, presenting a batch of unreleased material from the album’s sessions. The bonus material includes more than a dozen previously unreleased remixes (by Beatminerz, AJ Shine, Questlove, and Kelo,), b-sides, outtakes, and songs that simply didn’t make the final cut for whatever the reason may have been at the time.

On top of the digital release, The Roots have issued two vinyl packages for the anniversary build-out of their sophomore album. A 3xLP version (available to pre-order in the Okayplayer Shop) features eight unheard remixes of tracks from the album along with “Proceed II” and Proceed III,” (the former featuring jazz giant Roy Ayers.) A 4xLP version of the album is available exclusively via Urban Legends with additional sides with five more bonus tracks, the original version of “Ultimate” and an alternate take of “Lazy Afternoon.” The latter edition is a collectible set housed in a lift-top box with glossy Euro sleeves. Both vinyl packages feature fresh liner notes for the album, with essays from both Questo and Black Thought, as well as a track-by-track breakdown. “Enjoy good people,” wrote Questlove in an Instagram post late last night celebrating the expansion (read below.)

You can stream the 25th-anniversary deluxe edition of The Roots’ Do You Want More?!!!??! below and grab your copies of the vinyl packages while you still can. They won’t be around for too long.
