Silk Sonic closed out the Grammys with the award for “Record of The Year.”

It may be on a technicality, but Silk Sonic just went four-for-four at the 2022 Grammys. After walking off with the statues for “Best R&B Song,” “Best R&B Performance,” (somehow tying with Jazmine Sullivan,) and “Song of The Year,” Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak stepped back onto the stage one last time this evening to accept the award for “Record of The Year,” the Grammys’ highest honor for a song, for “Leave The Door Open.”

“We are really trying our hardest to remain humble at this point, ok? But in the industry, we call that a clean sweep,” a full-ham .Paak glowed as he was handed the award, noting how the group won in every category they were nominated in. “Leave The Door Open” was the duo’s debut single. It was released in early 2021 and was later featured on their full-length studio album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, which appearances from Bootsy Collins, Thundercat, James Fauntleroy, and more. The single spent two weeks atop Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart (.Paak’s first,) and went on to be certified double-platinum.

On top of being one of the night’s biggest winners, Silk Sonic also opened the Grammys ceremony with an electric performance of “777.”
