The rollout of Saweetie’s next project Pretty Bitch Music got off to a bumpy start on Wednesday (June 17). The West Coast rapper dropped her new single and video “Tap In,” but it didn’t receive much positive feedback on Twitter.

Saweetie’s latest track prominently samples Too $hort’s classic hit “Blow The Whistle” and its use didn’t go over well with many listeners.

Since her double platinum-selling song “My Type” famously sampled Petey Pablo’s “Freek-a-Leek” and her breakthrough single “Icy Girl” used Khia’s “My Neck, My Back,” fans are beginning to question her reliance on repurposing popular Hip Hop tracks from the 2000s.
