According to R Kelly’s ex-cellmate, R Kelly believed that JAY-Z wanted to have him killed.

R Kelly and JAY did two albums at the beginning of the century.  However, things went bad during their co-headlining tour in 2004, and after an altercation between the two superstars entourages Kelly was removed from the tour.

Ronnie Bo who served time with Kells a few years back, says that Kelly believed JAY-Z wanted his life.

“He felt like Jay-Z was kind of insecure because, at the time, R. Kelly was technically bigger than him,” Ronnie Bo recalled. “He felt like during one of the shows when they was in Madison Square Garden prior to that event, he said days before the event that he was getting death threats that he felt was coming from Jay-Z. Like Jay-Z was trying to basically…I don’t know if this is going to sound outrageous…but he felt like Jay-Z was trying to get him killed for whatever reason…”

Kelly isn’t the first of Hov’s collaborators who feared JAY was going to do him in.  In 2016, Kanye West asked the rap legend not to kill him.

“Jay Z—call me, bruh. You still ain’t called me. Jay Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Please call me. Talk to me like a man,” Ye said from stage.

Shortly after Kanye was sent to a mental health facility.
