Los Angeles, CA – Although Chuck D recently said Flavor Flav would have one year to “get his act together,” Public Enemy has just announced he’s no longer part of the groundbreaking Hip Hop group. In a statement sent to RealStreetRadio, Chuck D and company made it abundantly clear their time with Flav has come to end.

“Public Enemy and Public Enemy Radio will be moving forward without Flavor Flav,” the statement reads. “‘We thank him for his years of service and wish him well.”

Public Enemy Radio — Chuck D, DJ Lord, Jahi of P.E. 2.0 and the S1Ws — are performing at the Bernie Sanders rally in Los Angeles on Sunday (March 1), which proved to be a point of contention for Flav. His legal team quickly issued a statement, blasting Public Enemy’s involvement (despite it being a Public Enemy Radio performance).
