Released in 2015 and entirely produced by Madlib, the album featured appearances from Anderson .Paak, Phonte, Dam-Funk, and the late MF DOOM.

As they ready a needed and necessary sequel, Madlib, MED, and Blu are offering fans an updated lens on their stellar 2015 joint outing, Bad Neighbor.

The culminating effort (and logical follow-through,) of two phased-for-days EPs and decades of collaborating, Bad Neighbor was an unholy union of the trio’s respectively revered repertoires. Anchored by LA’s blunted tapestry of far-reaching musical misfits, the 15-track project features contributions from Anderson .Paak, Phonte, Dam-Funk, the late MF DOOM, Blvck Spvde, Jimetta Rose and more. And today, the group has announced a reissue of the album on crimson and black vinyl. The 2xLP package is remastered, resequenced, and expanded with two previously unreleased songs from the original Bad Neighbor sessions. “I want to thank all the fans who supported and the talented artist who blessed us. Super honored to have worked with one of my favorite artists, Blu, and my big homie Madlib on this record,” MED wrote in a statement via email.

Ahead of the anniversary update’s November 19th arrival on BangYaHead, Okayplayer is premiering, “WHOOP T,” one of two booming bonus cuts from the upcoming rerelease. Built around a shifty and fuzzed-out soul loop from The Beat Konducta, the track features hazy wordplay and a full-float hook from Jimetta Rose.

Hear Madlib, MED, and Blu’s “WHOOP T” below. Pre-order your copy of the 2xLP sixth-anniversary vinyl package of Bad Neighbor via BangYaHead today.
