Earlier this week, Drake’s media man, Mal, claimed that Drizzy had been offered the Super Bowl halftime show four times but always turned it down.
Now, NFL sources are pushing back on this. Sorta.
Sources have told Bloomberg that Drake was never offered the Super Bowl spot in the five years since JAY-Z and Roc Nation took over the show’s selection.
Drake was never offered the Super Bowl Halftime Show during the NFL’s five-year partnership with Roc Nation, according to NFL sources cited by Bloomberg 😬
One source reportedly said, “it’s a blatant lie.” pic.twitter.com/cLw0E2M5mC

“There’s a rumor that Drake has turned down the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl multiple times… In fact, one of them said ‘it’s a blatant lie.’”
Again, they are talking about the time frame since 2019, when Hov took over. Given that JAY-Z doesn’t like Drake, this isn’t surprising. Given that Drake was hotter on the charts before 2019 than he’s been since it certainly doesn’t disprove the argument that the Canadian has been offered the show multiple times.
