Vallejo, CA – Bay Area rapper Nef The Pharaoh got some devastating news last week when he learned his sister and 4-year-old nephew were killed in a double murder suicide.
According to KRON 4, Jacoby Brooks shot and killed Nef’s sister and the child before turning the gun on himself. Officers found the woman shot to death last Thursday (February 13) along Lewis Brown Road and B.W. Williams Drive in Vallejo.
Police said Brooks and Nef’s sister used to date. Brooks is reportedly the father of the young boy.
On Sunday (February 16), Nef took his grief to Instagram and shared several photos of his family.
“Words can’t even explain the pain I’m feeling RN my flesh, my blood, my big sister & nephew,” he wrote in the caption. “this shit ain’t NEVER gon be right, how do I explain to my son he’ll never be able to talk to his TT & cousin again. as I sit here surrounded by my siblings I can’t help but think , this is all you wanted.
“I love you more then LIFE big sister, & I’ll miss giving my nephew hugs & kisses….I keep walking around the house thinking I’m gonna see your smile any minute I feel like shit cause I wasn’t there to protect you & my nephew, I love you guys SOOOOOOOOOOOO much , shit don’t feel right saying RIP.”
Fellow Vallejo native E-40 offered some comforting words to Nef, writing, “This is sad! I send mines neph try to hold it together stay strong for the rest of the family my prayers are with you.”
