There’s no question that offense is up in the NBA.

SGA is posting numbers like a prime Michael Jordan.  LeBron is having one of the best statistical years of his career at 39. Embiid was on a ridiculous run before he got hurt.  Giannis is posting the best stats of his career, and Jokic and Luka continue to post combinations of numbers that nobody has seen before.

The statistics have become so inflated they are hard to trust.

Ma$e, who played college basketball, believes if he were a pro now but in his prime, he’d also get in on the act.

“40,000 points is a remarkable feat. I just think it’s a cupcake league, for real. I think in this league today, if I was in top shape, I could probably average about 15, 16. I’m just keeping it real,” he said, referencing LeBron becoming the first player to hit that milestone.  “When I ain’t make it in my generation, I felt like, yeah, it was a few n*ggas that was probably better than me. This generation? I feel like I could play against these n*ggas.”

He added that his boy Cam’ron would have also been able to put up points in today’s league.
