Chicago, IL – Lil Durk is giving back during the global pandemic surrounding COVID-19. Back in his native Chicago, Durk donated free meals to health care workers on Friday (April 24).

With the help of PHLAVZ, Durk and his team visited Chicago’s Rush Hospital and donated meals to those individuals on the frontlines dealing with the deadly virus.

“I been living down in Atlanta, but everyone back home has been in my thoughts, especially those doing something for the community and all the neighborhood heroes,” Durk told RealStreetRadio. “I thought about all the first responders putting their lives on the line to help out and it inspired me, so I took a jet back to Chicago to show my thanks.”

The “All Love” rapper added, “We partnered up with PHLAVZ and bought 100 meals to donate to the Rush University Medical Center to show love and inspire our community to be strong and help one another out through these times.”

Durk’s generosity joins a long list of celebrities who have been giving back to their communities in the midst of COVID-19 gripping the country.
