Rapper and former football star Le’Veon Bell’s cousin, Jada Bell, was awarded a $25 million default judgment after alleging that he had been sexually assaulting her from when she was around six.
Jada claims the abuse continued for over a decade, into Le’Veon’s time at Michigan State, and ended when she was 18.
She was awarded another $11 million from Le’Veon’s brother La’Vonte, who she also accused of sexually assaulting and who also also didn’t show up in court to defend himself.
Le’Veon’s lawyer called the default judgment “bogus” and said he is filing a motion to open and reverse the default judgment.
L’Veon issued a statement on Twitter, suggesting politics was involved in the judgment decision.
“being a black man and a trump supporter at the same time, so many ppl wanna attack me .. lol like why tho??? I just don’t get it .. it don’t matter tho, we STILL GOIN U,” the former All-Pro typed.
