Kansas City, MO – Krizz Kaliko has announced the release date for his forthcoming Eternal album. According to an Instagram post from the Strange Music artist, the project arrives on Friday (March 13).

“That’s it!” he wrote in the caption.

Eternal serves as the follow-up to the Immortal EP, which arrived in November 2019. It marked the first release since re-signing with the longtime Kansas City, Missouri imprint at a Red Rocks show in Morrison, Colorado last October.

Krizz had played with the idea of leaving Strange Music and all signs were pointing to his departure. But thanks to his wife Crystal Watson and the outpouring of love he received, he had a change of heart along the way and decided to stick with the label that put him on.

During the Red Rocks show, he shocked Tech N9ne, Strange Music CEO Travis O’Guin and the entire audience when Watson joined him onstage with a contract in her hand. He ultimately put his signature on the dotted line, explaining, “I read your comments, man. Y’all had me crying like a bitch. I ain’t lyin’. I cried, man. I’ve been back and forth on this shit for years. I know y’all know I haven’t put anything out since GO.

“I haven’t put out any music for like three and a half years, man. I was fucked up, man. I ain’t gonna lie. My children miss me, you know what I’m sayin’, but y’all are also my family so I had to explain this shit to you y’all. I’m gonna be honest, man. I’m here to serve the world, man.”

In a backstage interview with RealStreetRadio, Krizz confirmed Strange Music was the only home for him.

“It wouldn’t be the same, but I actually wouldn’t be the same without this either though,” Krizz said. “I even had some meetings with other labels and I just couldn’t see it. We’re already at step 2,000. One, I don’t want to start at step one and two, they just don’t run like how we run. There’s a reason why all of these majors are contacting Trav and looking at this blueprint.

“These are big, huge labels that have been around way longer than Strange Music. We’ve been around 20 years. They’ve been around way longer than that and they’re looking to us for guidance.”
