A former employee of Kanye West’s Donda Academy has sued the rapper for discriminating against him because he is Black.

Benjamin Deshon Provo was hired as a school security guard in 2021.  In the suit, which was filed yesterday in Los Angeles, Provo alleges Ye treated Black staffers differently than white staffers.

“Kanye and members of his management team subjected Provo and other black employees to less favorable treatment than their white counterparts,” read the lawsuit. “Specifically, Kanye frequently screamed at and berated black employees, while in contrast, he never so much as raised his tone of voice toward white staff.”

Provo also says that Kanye demanded that he cut his dreads — which he claims are part of his Muslim faith.  When Provo wouldn’t, he was fired.

Provo is the second Black Donda staffer to sue Kanye for racial discrimination.

Cecilia Hailey filed suit last year.  She says she was fired after complaining that Donda wouldn’t teach the children Black history and instead had a Harry Potter-heavy curriculum.  She also revealed that the only food the children were allowed was sushi, which they ate off the floor without utensils.

It’s unclear if the Donda Academy is still open.
