Juicy J is mostly known for taking a mainstream approach with his music, dropping songs that appeal to a wide range of people, as opposed to being niche.

But the veteran rapper is changing things up for a future project, according to Logic, and he’ll be making what some might call a boom-bap album.

“For those of you who don’t know, I, Logic, am actually executive producing one of Juicy J’s next albums,” said the DMV rhymer. “It’s the most Dilla, Hip Hop, Alchemist, gangsta, Madlib dopest sh*t ever.”

It’ll be interesting to see if Juicy also takes a lyrical rap approach for the album and uses a lot of wordplay, slick punchlines, and metaphors.
