Austin, TX – Another major music festival has joined Rolling Loud and the string of others that have postponed or canceled in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

A spokesperson for Texas-based Hip Hop festival JMBLYA announced on Wednesday (April 1) that the eighth annual event has been postponed from May 1-3 and is rescheduled for this fall for dates yet to be determined.

The multi-city festival which lands in Austin, Dallas and Houston revealed the event’s brass had immediate safety concerns for its ticket buyers and staff.

“Hey y’all, we wanted to let you all know we’re actively rescheduling JMBLYA to the fall,” the press release stated. “In an effort to be as transparent as possible, we want to keep you in the loop on our plans.

“We believe this is the best decision for everyone, and thank you for your patience while we work to bring you another epic year of the festival. We will be able to share our new dates soon, and rest assured all tickets will be honored accordingly. In the meantime, please remain safe, healthy, sane, and don’t eat all your quarantine snacks.”
