Jeremih is home recovering from his taxing battle with COVID-19 which left him hospitalized for nearly a month. The R&B singer left Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital over the weekend and made his return to social media on Wednesday (December 9) with a post thanking everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

“THANK GOD IM STILL HERE , THANK YA’LL FOR THE UP #imbackkkk,” he wrote.

The post features a hospital selfie and another photo of Jeremih getting his braids freshly twisted and a haircut after coming home.

Jeremih was originally hospitalized in November for COVID-19 and then moved into the ICU once his condition worsened. At one point during his hospital stay, he was reportedly unresponsive and hooked up to a ventilator. Things began to settle when TMZ reported he left ICU on November 21.

Throughout the scary weeks-long hospitalization, Jeremih received an outpouring of support from his peers in the Hip Hop community. 50 Cent, Hitmaka, 2 Chainz, Fat Joe, Chance The Rapper and more sent their positive energy with posts to social media over the past month.

Chance actually revealed that the 33-year-old would be leaving the hospital very soon with a tweet last week.

“I AM FILLED WITH PRAISE RIGHT NOW I JUST HEARD MY BROTHER JEREMIH’S VOICE ON THE PHONE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST A MONTH,” Chance wrote. “HE WILL BE OUT THE HOSPITAL TOMORROW WE GIVE ALL GLORY TO THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME.”

With Jeremih getting his health back and the holiday season being right around the corner, Chance and the R&B singer are teaming up to release another edition of the Merry Christmas Lil Mama: The Gift That Keeps on Giving compilation series.

The album will feature a pair of new tracks titled “The Return” and “Who’s To Say” on streaming services and standouts from the first two volumes of their Merry Christmas: Lil Mama mixtapes.
