When Jay-Z’s rape accuser spoke to NBC News a few days ago, she had a lot of inconsistencies in her story. The woman claims that Jay and Diddy raped her at one of Diddy’s VMA afterparties in 2000 when she was 13 years old.
Jay’s lawyer Alex Spiro held a press conference yesterday and exposed even more holes in the woman’s story.
For one, he showed photos of Jay at a different VMA event than his accuser said he attended. Spiro also said there’s no way she could’ve been brought to the party by her father in a five-hour drive, assaulted, and do everything else she explained before being picked up by her father a little before dawn.
Spiro shot down another one of the woman’s claims as well: that she watched the VMAs on a jumbotron outside of Radio City Music Hall. It turns out, there wasn’t a jumbotron set up for the awards show in 2000.
He pointed out a lot more inconsistencies on top of that, like the woman saying she got into Diddy’s limousine in front of Radio City Music Hall. That would’ve been impossible because the street was shut down for an Eminem performance.

Jay’s attorney added that the Roc Nation rapper and Diddy aren’t even friends.
“Mr. Carter has nothing to do with Mr. Combs’ case or Mr. Combs,” said Spiro. “They knew each other professionally for a number of years. At music awards, they support each other. They go to the NBA All-Star Game, they support each other. That’s just how professions work … There is no closer association between any of them. That’s also a matter of fiction.”
Do you think this case will ever make it to court.
