The new Isaiah Rashad track won’t appear on The House is Burning.

Three weeks ago, Top Dawg Entertainment signee Isaiah Rashad launched his long-awaited comeback with “Lay Wit Ya,” a Three Six Mafia-sampling single featuring fellow Tennessean Duke Deuce. On Tuesday, he released “200/Warning,” a loose track produced by Kenny Beats to tide fans over before the release of The House is Burning. Stream the new track on SoundCloud below.

“Everyone go thank Nacho,” Isaiah wrote on Twitter, noting that the track wouldn’t appear on the album.

Over the weekend, Isaiah and Kenny Beats teamed up for the latest episode of the producer’s YouTube beat construction series, “The Cave.” The two have been in the lab together regularly, with Isaiah teasing two separate collaborations between the two during an Instagram live session back in April 2020. That month, Rashad also released “Why Worry” that month, his first single in four years.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Rashad spoke about being a part of the larger Tennessee scene rising in the midst of his comeback.

“I look at it on multiple sides,” he said, “because I’m always a fan first. I recognized what kind of music I make. I know that I wasn’t making commercial-based music so I was always waiting as a fan for n—as out here slinging hits like [Three 6 Mafia] and them used to do. Memphis got the whole s–t on lock. I saw [Moneybagg Yo] got the No. 1 album in the country. You got Dolph, Bagg, [Key Glock] — Glock my favorite. How Gotti doing s–t signing n—as and he got 42 Dugg on top of all that s–t. Only thing that sucks about that s–t is I don’t even know them n—as. I just hope at one point in time I get to meet them n—as and chop it up and break bread because that’s some inspirational s–t.”
