After Jay-Z did his own version of Ice-T’s 1993 song “99 Problems” for The Black Album, the Law & Order star thought he should’ve received a shoutout.
Apparently, Jay either saw the interview or heard about it, and he approached Ice at the Grammys earlier this month.
âIâm at the Grammys and Jay-Z Â comes to me,” said Ice during his interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood. “He says, âIce, you know I love you, right?’ I say, âYeah.â He says, âWell, itâs on the internet that you mad.â I said, âIâm not mad. Theyâre bringing up all kinds of interviews about it and they asked me the story, and I told them the true story.â”
âHe goes, âYeah man, but itâs no hard feelings’ … Â But I said, âYo, well, you know, when you did ’99 Problems,’ at the end of the record you couldâve said, âIce.â You couldâve given me a little dap or something,â” the rapper-turned-actor went on. “I said, âBut Iâm not mad at it. What had happened was people wanted to know the story.’â
