Oakland Township, MI – Fans with a casual $3,750,000 just laying around who want to live like Eminem are in luck.

A mansion once owned by the elusive rapper is up for grabs in Michigan’s Oakland Township, according to a report from the Detroit Free Press on Wednesday (November 18). With 17,500 square feet, the house has six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a three-car garage, a pool, a guest house, its own pond – all the works. Em purchased the crib in 2003 and sold it in 2017.

Around the time of the purchase, Em was reportedly being extorted by some Los Angeles-based Crips – something Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E.’s nephew Monsta Gunjah revealed during a recent interview on an Australian radio show. The result was the 2003 track “911” with Samoan Hip Hop group Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E., Eminem and Cypress Hill’s B-Real, but B-Real didn’t know about the behind-the-scenes politics when he first appeared on the song.

“I didn’t hear too much about that because I never got involved with any of that stuff with Em,” he told HipHopDX. “They just called me to be on this record and Boo-Yaa, they’ve always been family to us. Ganxsta Ridd was one of my big time homies. They were always with us in the early days. And so when that project came up and I heard Em was on it, I’d always wanted to flip on a record with him, so it was easy work — it was family and Em was on it. I was like, ‘Oh, shit. All right, let’s do it.’

“And I didn’t think of the politics, he was just somebody I wanted to get down with because I love Em. He’s one of my favorite top three, and so I had a chance to work with him there, along with my family. It was a no brainer to me, and yeah, you know the politics I heard about it later, but Boo-Ya washed that shit out for them.”

In related Em news, his Michigan roots proved crucial in the 2020 Presidential election, helping Joe Biden secure the state with an endorsement that included a rare licensing of his 2002 smash hit “Lose Yourself” from the 8 Mile soundtrack. In the caption of his post with the endorsement video, he added, “One opportunity…#Vote.”
