Detroit, MI – Eminem and his SiriusXM radio channel Shade45 have teamed up for the Love Your DJ campaign. The Detroit-bred rap giant made the announcement social media on Friday (April 24).

According to an Instagram post, all Michigan DJs can enter to win a chance at airplay on Shady45 and the first 500 entrants received a $313 stimulus payment.

“Hometown DJ’s!” he wrote in the caption. “@shade45 and me linked up for #LoveYourDJ – first 500 get $313. Top 15 to get aired on Shade 45. #stimuluscheck #detroit Hit the link in bio for info.”

As explained on Em’s website, the Love Your DJ initiative “will offer DJs from Michigan the opportunity to submit their best custom mixes a SoundCloud link for the chance to have their mix air on Shade45 on SiriusXM, as well as receive a $313 cash payment, an homage to the Detroit area code.

“The first 500 qualified entries, in accordance with the rules, will receive the $313 cash prize. Of the first 500 entrants, 15 grand prize winners will be selected by a panel of judges from Shady Records to receive a chance for their mix to air on Shade45 as a part of the Love Your DJ Mixshow Takeover beginning May 2.

“Mixes will be judged on sound quality, originality, and texture of the entry, as it fits within the sound of Shade45 programming on SiriusXM.”

Em will host his own show, “Music To Be Quarantined By,” during the Love Your DJ Mixshow Takeover featuring his top Hip Hop picks beginning on May 2 at noon EST.

Shady, who celebrated 12 years of sobriety on Monday (April 20), also donated cups of his famous Mom’s Spaghetti to Motor City healthcare workers as they battle the coronavirus pandemic from the frontlines.
