Drake had a busy Friday (October 2) serving up a pair of verses for his OVO faithful. Most notably, he popped up on Metro Boomin’ and 21 Savage‘s highly-anticipated Savage Mode 2  alluding to a past relationship with none other than R&B darling SZA.

The 6 God claims he and the TDE artist dated back in 2008, which is right around the time Drizzy’s career began to take off as a spry 21-year-old coming out of Toronto. SZA, 29, would have only been 17-years-old if Drake’s memory serves correct.

“Yeah, said she wanna fuck to some SZA, wait/Cause I used to date SZA back in ’08/If you cool with it, baby, she can still play,” Drake rhymes.

The Toronto native and 21 have collaborated in the past on tracks such as “Sneakin’” and the leaked “Issa.” He also hopped on Bryson Tiller‘s Anniversary album with a guest appearance on the moody “Outta Time.”

Drake is still finishing up his Certified Lover Boy album, which is expected to release at some point this fall. Lead single “Laugh Now Cry Later” featuring Lil Durk is still holding strong in the Hot 100’s top five, where it currently sits at No. 4.

Earlier this week (September 29), DJ Khaled unveiled an iced-out OVO and We The Best chain Drake sent him as a token of appreciation for their friendship. The duo reunited in 2020 for “POPSTAR” and “GREECE,” which will land on Khaled’s forthcoming Khaled Khaled album.
