Drake and 21 Savage’s collab album Her Loss debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, moving 404,000 equivalent album units in the US.

From a minor setback to major comeback. Just ten days after releasing their collaborative album Her Loss, Drake and 21 Savage now boast the biggest debut hip-hop sales week of 2022. In its first week, Her Loss reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, moving 404,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. Listeners mainly streamed the album, as it received 513.56 million on-demand official streams during the week ending November 10.

Along with the biggest week of an hip-hop/R&B album of 2022, Her Loss also holds the historical title of fourth-largest streaming week of any album ever.

Her Loss makes the twelfth No. 1 album for Drake and third for 21 Savage, who released his last collaborative album Savage Mode II with Metro Boomin in October 2020. The album also makes Drake’s second No. 1 album this year, following behind his seventh studio album Honestly, Nevermind which dropped in July.

The win comes less than a week after Drizzy and 21 Savage were defeated in court by fashion publication Vogue. Last Wednesday (November 9), U.S. District Judge Jed Rakof ruled in favor of Condé Nast, the publishing company for Vogue, after the magazine filed a $4 million lawsuit over the counterfeit Her Loss-exclusive issue.

According to the ruling, the Grammy-winning rappers were “confusing customers about the origin, sponsorship, or approval” of the cover and are “misleading consumers to believe that these are genuine and authentic materials associated with Condé Nast and Vogue magazine.”

The fake Her Loss magazine included articles and advertisements from Vogue‘s authentic October issue, with graffiti writings of ‘Her Loss’ spread across pages and photo edits. Also spoofed in the Her Loss rollout was The Howard Stern Show, ColorsxStudios, NPR Tiny Desk Concerts and Saturday Night Live.
