Doja Cat Responds To Talk That Doechii Took Her Spot

If you haven’t noticed yet, Doechii is rap’s new It girl. 

The critics love her left-of-center rap approach, and in February her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal won Best Rap Album at the Grammys.

But with success comes hate, and many have accused the Florida-raised rapper of being an industry plant. Others said she copied Doja Cat. 

There’s also people who said Doechii took Doja’s spot as the sole non-conforming, non-cookie-cutter female rapper.

Doja responded to that talk last night on social media and had nothing but kind words to say about Doechii.

“Doechii is MY inspiration. Doechii is here to STAY,” she tweeted.
