Doja Cat is gearing up for the release of her third studio album – but her first since blowing up in 2020 with her hit single “Say So.”

The Los Angeles native first revealed the album’s title Planet Her just before Christmas and has since pinned a tweet with its name to the top of her Twitter page. On Tuesday (January 5), she started following just eight people on the social network and sent a cryptic tweet to call attention to it.

“Following them for a reeeeaaaaasssoooonnn,” she wrote with a wink. “Guess why.”

The eight people include Megan Thee Stallion, French Montana, Young Thug, A$AP Ferg, Saweetie, SZA, The Weeknd and Ariana Grande.

The album will follow her sophomore effort Hot Pink, released just over two years ago in November 2019. The 12-track effort included “Say So,” as well as the Tyga-assisted hit “Juicy” and her Gucci Mane-assisted single, “Like That.” Smino also made an appearance, as well as Rico Nasty on the Japanese version with their collab, “Tia Tamera.”

The album had arrived on a Thursday as opposed to the tradtional Friday release, causing it to debut at No. 93 on the Billboard 200 with one-day first week sales of 7,900 album equivalent units. The album arrived at No. 19 with 20,000 album-equivalent units in its first full week, however.
