The third installment of Lil Wayne’s famed No Ceilings mixtape series might arrive sooner than once thought. After teasing the project’s arrival in August, DJ Khaled took the baton and raised the hype surrounding No Ceilings 3 on Wednesday (November 25) with a snippet of an upcoming Drake and Wayne collab.

“They tried to put a ceiling on our greatness, so we took the ceiling off,” Khaled spews before pressing play on Drake’s woozy opening verse.

“The blues is now kicking and dinner is 3 Michelin,” he raps. “don’t eat red meat but still got beef sizzling/Know that I need discipline/I keep singing for all these hoes, they keep listening/Niggas love to roll with the boy.”

Wayne then chimes in to match Drake’s energy with a syrupy verse of his own.

“Everyone got they glass out, let’s drink to Weezy,” he raps. “Every nigga that stem me down just came to see me/Chopping up a little cash cow the steak I’m eating.”

The New Orleans native is no stranger to rapping over other artists’ hits. With Lil Baby being one of Wayne’s favorite rappers, it looks as if a “We Paid (Remix)” could be strapped in for No Ceilings 3 as well.

The anticipated tape will be hosted by DJ Khaled. A No Ceilings 3 website powered by DatPiff says the project is “coming soon.” The original No Ceilings arrived on Halloween 2009 and finally hit streaming services this year, while the sequel dropped in 2015.

During an August UFC Live appearance, Wayne first teased the idea of No Ceilings 3.

Carter VI coming soon,” Wayne said. “But, I got No Ceilings coming first. No Ceilings 3.”

Weezy has stayed busy on the music front in 2020 with the release of Funeral and Tha Carter V deluxe in September. The Young Money CEO held a turkey drive giving away 500 turkeys to families for Thanksgiving in the New Orleans area on Tuesday (November 24).
