Earlier this week, Angela Yee dished on her departure from The Breakfast Club.

As she told Tamron Hall, among her reasons for leaving is that she felt she would get blamed for Charlamagne Tha God’s misogynistic remarks and felt isolated as the only woman involved with the morning mainstay.

“I was the only woman who worked there too, when it came to producers, camera people; and it wasn’t an easy room for me to be in,” she claimed. “So I feel like I did need more backup. Because even things that I felt as a woman, somebody can’t understand your point of view because they’re not coming from where you come from. And so that was hard for me too, to be the only woman there with nobody to check somebody, ‘You shouldn’t have said that like that.’”

DJ Envy, the third personality in the booth, pushed back hard on that.

“ That’s just not true.  There are plenty of women that work behind the scenes on @breakfastclubam,” he commented with cap emoji’s on The Shade Room.

Lil Mama also stepped into The Shade Room to blast Yee.

“Oh PLEASE,” she typed. “She was up there playing foul games too. She has helped make multiple women (of color especially) feel like the only woman in that room numerous times. #RockThrowingHandHidingBitch”
