Puff Daddy’s lawyers have accused CNN of altering the now-notorious surveillance video of Puffy beating Cassie in a LA-area hotel lobby.

They claim the news network covered the timestamp on the video, changed the sequence, and sped it up.  They also posit that CNN destroyed the original.

CNN has denied the charge, stating they “never altered the video and did not destroy the original copy of the footage, which was retained by the source.”

If the judge finds CNN did alter the video and that there is no longer an original, the Feds will almost certainly not be able to submit the video as evidence in Puff’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial, which is set to begin on May 5.

The video isn’t essential to the feds’ case, as none of his charges relate to his beating of Cassie.  However, the government is undoubtedly planning on using the video to impugn The Diddler’s character.
