In front of a chromed-out 1965 Chevy Impala, Curren$y runs through his catalog while blowing smoke in his NPR Tiny Desk Concert debut.

Curren$y is celebrating the unofficial holiday of 420 from home. In his NPR Tiny Desk Concert debut, the rapper is joined by a three-piece band posted in a garage set while a lifted 1965 Chevy Impala hangs out in the background. With two decades in the rap game, New Orleans native performed notables from his extensive catalog.

Opening the set with “Sixty-Seven Turbo Jet” from his 2012 collaborative EP with Harry Fraud, Curren$y coursed through “Address” and “Breakfast” from his 2010 album Pilot Talk, “Airborne Aquarium” from Pilot Talk II, ending with “Mary” from 2013 mixtape New Jet City.

In February, Spitta released The Alchemist-assisted collaborative album Continuance, making their third full-length album in six years. In a recent interview with HotNewHipHop, Spitta was asked to compare their first and latest collaborative albums to weed strains.

Covert Coup is Andretti OG, check it out if you haven’t had it. Continuance is Grape Jelly, also grown at my Andretti Cannabis Co. because I was a die-hard OG strain consumer. I didn’t want nothing else,” he said. “Everything is named after some kind of snack but you gotta try your hand at it and that one hit me just like the OG did and that’s what Continuance has done to people,” he continued. “It came through just as Covert coup did. Just a little different, like, it’s Grape Jelly. It’s not Andretti OG but it will get you there in the same fashion, but different.”
