Consider JT of the City Girls a member of Ariana Grande’s stan hive.

The Miami rapper took to social media and gave a unique explanation for her joy of getting a follow from the pop star on Instagram.

“Omg Ariana Grande followed me!!!!!!! Like omg!!!!!” the “Jobs” rapper wrote on Twitter Thursday (October 16). “Y’all don’t know how much I listened to her in prison to calm me! Like omg.”

A City Girls fan shared a screen recording from one of JT’s Instagram Live sessions where she happily covered Grande’s “Everytime” from her chart-topping Sweetner album.

JT served more than a year behind bars for credit card fraud charges before being released in 2018. While she was away, City Girls continued to rise in Hip Hop with their Girl Code album featuring “Twerk” with Cardi B and “Act Up.”

Recently, JT and her City Girl sister Yung Miami stepped out for Mulatto’s “In N Out” video where the trio took things retro with roller-skating carhops, Big Latto having a little fun playing double dutch, and JT bragging, “Fresh up out the feds, fuck the government.”
