“Loyal” arrived in March 2014, serving as the fourth single from his sixth studio album X.  Produced by Nic Nac and Mark Kragen, the track came with two versions — French Montana pops up alongside Weezy on the East Coast version, while Too $hort is included on the West Coast version.

Although the song initially debuted at No. 82 on the Billboard Hot 100, it eventually peaked at No. 9 and remained on the chart for 36 weeks. It marked Brown’s 10th Top 10 single and has since been certified 3x-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

In terms of the visual, Usher, Trey Songz and Ty Dolla $ign also make cameo appearances.
