In 2022, Casanova pleaded guilty to RICO and narcotics offenses in federal court, admitting to participating in a poker game shooting in Florida in 2020, a robbery in New York City in 2018, and trafficking over 100 kilograms of weed.

He renounced gang life before the sentencing and was given 15 years.  He could have got up to 60.

During a chat with XXL, Casa admitted he hasn’t been writing while locked up, even though he has plenty of time.

He explained that he’s staying away from his pen because it may be the reason he lost his freedom

“Now I kinda believe in manifestation more than ever and I feel like I manifested this on myself, because all my songs are jail-related, gang related or super violent,” he conveys about his music having a direct link to his time in prison. “I kinda manifested this. Words are powerful. I believe in the tongue now. I gotta go more positive when I get out.”
