The wait is almost over for new Cardi B music.
On Saturday (May 23), the Grammy Award-winner jumped onto an Instagram live session with fans and promised them her follow-up single to “Press” was on the way.
“My single is coming very, very soon, OK guys,” Bardi revealed to viewers before adding, “My single is coming when I lose weight. Never!”
Fans have been anticipating Cardi’s sophomore album after 2018’s Invasion Of Privacy LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and went triple platinum. Back in February, she gave fans a brief snippet of a new track with the simple caption, “Respect.”

Cardi’s been teasing new music for quite some time now, including joking last year that she would call her follow-up album Tiger Woods after watching the legendary golfer win the 2019 Masters Tournament.
“I think I’m going to name my album Tiger Woods,” she said on IG Live last October. “I think I’m going to call it Tiger Woods because, remember when everybody was talking shit on Tiger Woods, like ‘Oh blah blah, blah blah this, blah blah that,’ and then he fucking came and won that green jacket? That’s what I’m going to name my album.”
Since the release of “Press,” the only “new” music from the Bronx rapper has been a remix of her coronavirus meme. For now, the sophomore album from Cardi doesn’t have an official title but fans can’t wait to hear what she has to offer.
