The debut album from Silk Sonic is set to arrive next month.

The wait for Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak‘s debut album as Silk Sonic is just about over.

Today, the duo announced their highly-anticipated collaborative album, An Evening with Silk Sonic, will be landing on November 12th. Mars broke the news in an all-caps tweet this afternoon, sharing a photo of the group with P-Funk bass god, Bootsy Collins, who serves as narrator of sorts on the project. Along with the release date reveal, the group has shared pre-order links for the album, which will be available on CD, cassette, and of course, digital download. They’re also offering the album in a boxset featuring either a gold or cream colored t-shirt.

The long-awaited release date arrives months after the duo announced their partnership with the hit lead single, “Leave The Door Open,” which received a remix not too long after, featuring a few romance raps from the incomparable Ghostface Killah. The follow-up single, “Skate,” arrived in mid-summer as a bubbly, two-step-friendly seasonal anthem. If it seemed like Mars and .Paak were taking their time, that’s because, well, they very much were. “I’ve never realized till this album how much the right guitar pick matters. The right gauged strings. All this science kinda stuff,” Mars admitted in a Rolling Stone interview over the summer, promising the duo wasn’t about to let any detail go overlooked. “The music we grew up with is heavy drums, bass smacking, so we got all the instruments but were still like, ‘Why doesn’t it sound right?’ Because we were fucking bashing!,” .Paak added.

Watch the videos for the first two Silk Sonic singles below. Pre-order your physical copy of the album via Bruno Mars’ webshop and hold tight for the project to drop next month.
