“Gravity” is Brent Faiyaz’s second release of 2021, it follows “Solo” which released as a part of pgLang x Calvin Klein’s recent campaign.

Brent Faiyaz and Tyler, the Creator linked up and blessed us with a new single “Gravity.”

In “Gravity,” Brent’s supple, calming tones create an ideal track for cuffing season. The DJ Dahi-produced cut features an easygoing beat that aligns perfectly with Brent’s vocals and Tyler’s verse. Throughout the track, Brent sings effortlessly about how his lover held him down as he coped with the woes of the industry.

The juxtaposition between the singer’s vocals and Tyler’s reflective verse are what makes this song interesting. This is the first time Brent and the Odd Future rapper have ever connected musically. “Gravity” is the first Tyler, the Creator track of the year.

In recent years, Faiyaz has built his career by releasing relatable music touching on social issues, the woes of relationships, and love. Last year’s release Fuck The World, a somber and unique album was critically acclaimed and well-received by fans.

Most recently, Faiyaz starred in a pgLang x Calvin Klein campaign. In a visual featuring the singer in a series of clips, he premiered a new track “Solo,” which was also his first release of 2021. It’s still a bit unclear what’s next for pgLang, a service company created by Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free.
