Black Thought joins the soulful English vocalist for a new track.

On Tuesday, English singer-songwriter Liam Bailey dropped the remix for his single “Champion.” For the new version, the legendary Black Thought added a verse. Stream the track below.

Bailey teased the collaboration on Instagram over the weekend. “I’m about to career highlight next week,” he wrote. “It’s insane what’s coming. Thank you for keeping an eye on everything I’m doing people. Without you guys the whole thing wouldn’t even be a thing. Keep spreading the word.”

The original track will appear on Bailey’s forthcoming Ekundayo album. The project will be his first studio album since his debut album, Definitely Now, dropped in the United States in August 2014. His sound has been described as “sweet Daptone soul-infused with blues moods, Oasis riffage, Sam Cooke grooves and light Jamaican accents.”

Salaam Remi produced five tracks for Bailey’s debut. The noted producer worked extensively with Bailey’s fellow Brit Amy Winehouse on her Back to Black and Frank albums. In fact, Winehouse signed him to her Lioness Records imprint, where he dropped two solo EPs, 2am Rough Tracks and So Down, Cold in 2010.

In 2011, he dropped the It’s Not the Same EP on Polydor Records. After touring with Elle Goulding throughout the U.K., Bailey was scheduled to drop an album titled Out of the Shadows in 2011, but the album was pulled at the last minute. After years of record label drama, Bailey then dropped his debut three years later.
