Benny The Butcher is about to drop a Gangsta Grillz mixtape with his Black Soprano Family collective at the end of the month, but he’s already got an eye on his upcoming solo project.

In a tweet posted on Thursday (July 16), the Griselda Records rapper announced that he’s planning the next entry of his Tana Talk series — except this time around, it will actually be two albums in one.

“When I drop Tana 4 it’s gonna be a double album with Tana Talk 5 …watch this,” he wrote.

The news arrives after Benny inititally announced there will be a fourth Tana Talk album in October last year.

Benny released Tana Talk 3, produced entirely by Alchemist and Daringer, in November 2018. Less than nine months later, he signed a management deal with Roc Nation alongside Jay-Z.

The Buffalo native’s last solo release was The Plugs I Met EP in June last year, which featured Black Thought, Pusha T, Jadakiss, Conway The Machine and others. Despite not dropping an album so far in 2020, Benny has kept busy with features, appearing on tracks from Lil Wayne, Royce Da 5’9″, Freddie Gibbs, Boldy James and Russ to name a few.

Benny and BSF’s new mixtape The Respected Sopranos is set to arrive on July 31st. Presented by DJ Drama, the project will showcase the Griselda artist next to group members Rick Hyde, Loveboat Luciano, Jonesy and Heem.
