RealStreetRadio Premiere – Tha Chill is back with the second single and video from his forthcoming project FOHEAD titled “Hard In The Paint.” Featuring fellow Diirty OGz and Tha Dogg Pound member Kurupt, the song is yet another gangsta rap classic in the making.
“‘Hard In The Paint’ is my new jam feat my lil’ bro Kurupt and it’s just us doing what we do for the fans that fuck with us and our lane,” Tha Chill tells RealStreetRadio. “We was at my studio at my crib and I pulled up a jam I was workin’ on when Gotti said, ‘Hold up! This is different outta you Chill.’
“I told him I was tryin’ still be us but be different at the same time. He said, ‘Open up a track and let me be different with ya.’ And this is what we came up with — a club banger with that ‘G’ splash on it.”
In addition to Kurupt, FOHEAD will also feature MC Eiht, Sugafree and MC Ren, among others.
A documentary on Tha Chill — which will cover his journey from my start wit CMW to producer and Diirty OGz member — called Compton’s Best Kept Secret is also in the works. The film stars DJ Battle Cat, MC Ren, Kurupt, MC Eiht and more.
