Erykah Badu plans to sell a fragrance that smells like her vagina. And no, you’re not reading The Onion.
In an interview with 10 Magazine, the enigmatic singer/songwriter revealed she would be selling a perfume called Badu’s Pussy on her soon-to-launch online store Badu World Market. The fragrance’s name happens to be quite literal as the scent is designed to smell like her private parts.
“I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them,” she said. “Even the ash is part of it.”

Badu noted she’s stopped wearing underwear, so she didn’t care about sacrificing her panties to create the fragrance. When asked about sharing such a personal smell with the world, the Grammy Award winner expressed excitement.
“The people deserve it!” she proclaimed.
Badu’s vagina-scented product is inspired by what she refers to as her “superpower.”
“There’s an urban legend that my pussy changes men,” she told 10. “The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives.”
The Badu World Market is scheduled to open on February 20. Customers looking to purchase the Badu’s Pussy fragrance can sign up to be one of the first to know when the site has launched.
