Universal is trying to get the latest amendment to Drake’s defamation lawsuit against the label– which is a response to Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss “Not Like Us — thrown out.

During today’s proceedings, UMG was asked what the “certified pedophile” bar in “Not Like Us” meant.

“It’s a play on certified loverboy,” UMG’s lawyer explained, referencing Drake’s album Certified Loverboy.  “The context is all the rumors about Drake and young females.”

According to Drake, Universal — which is also his label — defamed him by pushing “Not Like Us” to a broad audience.

The trial is expected to be later this year.
