If it does big numbers, it will solidify Drake’s stranglehold on streaming and set the 38-year-old up to perhaps pass Eminem as the best-selling rapper of all time.
If it struggles to move units, there will be talk that Kendrick Lamar knocked him down a couple of pegs, and Drake will limp into his 40s as more of a legacy act.
Drake appears to be aware of the stakes.
