It was initially reported that Yung Scooter was shot and killed by police in Atlanta yesterday.
That’s not quite what happened.
According to the Fulton County police, Scooter ran from the cops after they responded to a 911 call about a dispute with shots fired and a female being dragged back into a house.
He injured himself on a fence as he fled, and bled out before the officers could save him.

“The other male jumped two fences as he was fleeing. When the officers located him on the other side of the fence he appeared to have suffered an injury to his leg. Officers rendered aid and he was transported to Grady Hospital where he was pronounced deceased … just to be very clear the injury that was sustained was not via the officer on the scene,” said a police spokesperson.
Scooter died on his 39th birthday. RIP.
