On his new track, “Tobey”, Eminem has a bone to pick.

“Ain’t feelin’ your top five favorite rappers/ So I know they ’bout to be pissed at me/ But this, to me, is a mystery/ How rappers I’ve already ripped could be/ Higher up on a list than me, “Shady raps.

In Billboard’s recent ranking of the best rappers of all time, Eminem landed at five, following JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, and 2Pac in that order.

Given that it’s widely acknowledged that Eminem washed JAY-Z as a feature on Hov’s 2001 track “Renegade,” many folks thought Em was specifically speaking about JAY-Z and his number one position on “Tobey”

Royce Da 5’9″ blunted shot that theory down.

“Of course not,” Royce typed in response to a question about Eminem taking a shot at Hov.

Interestingly, “Renegade”, which Em also produced, was originally going to be a track with him and Royce before the Detroit legend decided to give it to JAY-Z for The Blueprint.
