This comes in very handy when you get your track sampled.

The Metro Boomin featuring The Weeknd and 21 Savage hit “Creepin” uses the drums from Sermon’s track “You’re a Customer.”

According to Sermon, he gets four percent of Creepin for his sample, which has been very lucrative for him.

“Me owning my own publishing everybody calls me direct.  The Weeknd is one the most streamed artists in the world.  Weeknd and Metro Boomin did [“Creepin”] … Every four months [it brings in] 220k.  Four percent,” Sermon told Bootleg Kevn.

That’s about 700K a year.

Pretty good.
