Killer Mike dropped his album, Michael, earlier this month, a 14-song offering chock full of big gospel choruses and thought-provoking rhymes.

André 3000 emerged from retirement for the project on the song “Scientists & Engineers,” and his verse is all the talk.

Mike spoke to Ebro Darden about the album and said he spent a good chuck of his money on it. [Jump to the 8:50-mark]

“This matters because I spent half a million dollars without asking my wife,” Mike explained. “At about a quarter million dollars, she was just like, ‘What the f*ck are you doing?’ I was like, ‘I’m making the album I’ve always wanted to make.’ And she’s like, ‘We’re a quarter million short. That could have bought a whole nother quarter of a block.’”
